Being a world-renowned singer and dancer, you would have thought that doing a couple of spins on an ice rink should be easy for Bonnie, right? Wrong! The 41-year-old thespian had never even donned a pair of skates - let alone perfected a pirouette - before she appeared in Dancing on Ice.
Partnered by US Pairs figure skating champion Matt Evers, Bonnie skated her way into the final of the first series with spectacular, daring and beautiful routines. Having never in her life skated before, it was an incredible achievement.
“Before 2005, if anyone had told me that at the age of 41 I would learn to ice skate, I would have laughed my head off. But that's just what I did! Well, both actually....the ice skating together with much fun and laughter. Taking part in Dancing On Ice was one of the highlights of my career so far and has opened up a whole new arena and perspective for me”
